Celestial Sakura was opened sometime around the summer and fall of 2002. It was Cherie's second huge CardCaptor Sakura site. At first, CS was hosted at Boomspeed.com. Boomspeed is a horrible host for sites, especially sites that have webmistresses that don't know anything about HTML. So, after I learned a little more HTML, I moved it to Angelfire.com. My second layout was more advance than my sucky first layout, and I got a little more content and more visitors.
After a few months of being hosted on Angelfire, I got tired of the pop-ups so I moved CS to Freewebs.com. Celestial Sakura flourished on freewebs; it has great visitors, was active, and has a lot of content. But, then I started neglecting CS for a while. I finally put it on a very long hiatus, because it was too much of a hassle to take care of huge fansite. Two months before the summer of 2003, I re-opened CS and began to dedicate my free time updating it. And then it got boring again, so I decided to close down the site.
Now, this summer, after playing around with graphics, I realized I have a lot of free time. I re-visited Celestial Sakura, which I still left on the free server, and realized how much I missed working on it. After much thinking, I finally chose to re-open it. I designed a new layout and after finding the ideal hosting plans at Tripod.com, Celestial Sakura is finally re-opened.
